  To do without high-grade sound insulation or sacrificing valuable space under the roof? This question was raised during the conversion of a luxurious villa built in the thirties to a training hotel. The solution was the installation of the new sound insulation studs MAXI-SCW of PROTEKTOR. The sound insulation level was considerably raised in comparison to traditional partitions but the loss of room space was avoided which would have occured with the installation of double stud partitions.

In the private villa several hotel rooms with sanitary rooms, a gastronomy area with restaurant, bowling lane and fully equipped kitchen area had to be installed. Sophisticated requirements were formulated for the interior work of the future guest house. Of course an optimal sound insulation between the hotel rooms on the top floor between the rooms and corridor were part of those requests. With the installation of double stud partitions too much space would have been lost and an optimum room partitioning would have been made very difficult. The sound insulation studs MAXI-SCW offered a better alternative. The partition with the MAXI-SCW stud 75 (ref. no. 5615) and with double boarding 2 x 12.5 mm gypsum plaster board attains a remarkable sound insulation value of 52 dB. With PROTEKTOR MAXI-SCW studs high-grade sound insulation values can be obtained.
